Spokane Valley Booking Releases
Spokane Valley booking releases are handled by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. The city does not run its own jail or police force. Instead, it contracts with the county for police services. That means a Spokane Valley arrest shows up on the Spokane County jail roster, not on a city roster. To search Spokane Valley booking releases, you start at the county inmate roster, then ask the city clerk for any general records you need. This page lays out each step in plain order so you can find a person fast.
Spokane Valley Overview
Spokane Valley Booking Releases Search
The Spokane County jail roster is the main tool to search Spokane Valley booking releases. You can open the Spokane County Inmate Roster from any device. Type a last name, first name, or booking number. The page is run by the Detention Services unit and is the same roster used for the City of Spokane.
The image below comes from the inmate roster page. It shows the search box and the contact line for the jail.
The roster updates many times a day. It is the fastest way to find a current hold.
For wider jail info, the Spokane County Jail Information hub lays out the mission, services, and main phone line. It links to bail, mail, and visiting rules. Spokane Valley arrestees move through the same system.

Spokane Valley Police Records
Because Spokane Valley contracts with Spokane County Sheriff's Office for police, all police incident reports tied to the city are held by the sheriff. The phone for sheriff records is (509) 477-3000. The city itself does not keep police reports.
For a written request, the county runs a public records office under the Public Records Act. You can read the law on the RCW Chapter 42.56 page. The county also follows RCW 70.48.100, which sets the rules for jail records.
To file a clean records request, give them:
- The full name of the person
- The date of the booking
- A case or booking number if you have it
- Your contact info
The clerk has five business days to reply.
City Hall Public Records
For non-police records, like council files or contracts, you go to the City of Spokane Valley. You can visit the Spokane Valley city website and click the Public Records Request quick link. The city clerk takes the request from there.
City Hall sits at 10210 East Sprague Avenue, Spokane Valley, WA 99206. The phone is 509-720-5000. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Note: Do not send police records requests to City Hall. They will route you to the sheriff.
Spokane Valley Booking Releases Process
After an arrest in Spokane Valley, deputies bring the person to the main county jail in downtown Spokane. The booking team runs through pre-booking, classification, and intake. The county lays out these steps on the Spokane County Booking and Classification page. It is a short read but it helps set the right time frame.
For bail rules, see the Spokane County Bail or Bond Posting page. It covers court hours and the after-hours bond process. Bond agents in town know the rules well, but the page is the source of truth.
When the case ends or bail is met, the release follows the steps on the Spokane County Release from Custody page. Releases can happen at any hour. Call the jail before you head over.
The Spokane County Jail Records Release page sets the rules on what is public and what is held back. Booking photos are exempt under state law. Names, charges, and dates are public.
Spokane Valley Sheriff Contact
The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is the lead agency for Spokane Valley arrests. The Spokane County Sheriff main page lists the unit phones and a direct line to records. Use it to reach the records desk or to file a formal request.
The sheriff also runs patrol units for the unincorporated parts of Spokane County and for Spokane Valley under contract. If you are not sure where an arrest happened, the records team can tell you which unit ran the call.
