Tumwater Police Department Records

The city draws a line between police records and general records. Do not use the city online portal for police records. You must send the police records request straight to the Tumwater Police Department.

You can use the official PDF form. Download the Tumwater public records request form, fill it in, and email it to clerksoffice@ci.tumwater.wa.us.

The form has check boxes for each city department. For police records, check the Police box and add the case number if you have one. The clerk has five business days to reply under RCW 42.56.

• The case number if it is a criminal or traffic case

• A clear list of the records you want

The city may charge for blueprints, maps, tape duplication, and copies if you ask for more than ten 8.5 by 11 pages. Ask the clerk for the current fee schedule before you submit.
