Tacoma Police Records Office

The Tacoma Police Department does not run its own records portal in the way some cities do. Instead, the city handles all police records through a citywide office. You can visit the City of Tacoma Public Records Office page to start a request. The office takes requests for police reports, arrest records, and traffic collisions.

For info on the police side, you can open the Tacoma Police Department website. The department sits at 3701 South Pine Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. The main line is (253) 591-5900. The non-emergency line is (253) 798-4722.

For records that are not online, send a written request. Cite the Public Records Act, RCW 42.56, in your letter. You can read it at RCW 42.56. The clerk has five business days to reply.

Send city police records requests to the City of Tacoma Public Records Office. Send sheriff or jail records to the Pierce County Sheriff records desk at 3602 Pacific Avenue S. #100, Tacoma WA 98418.
