Bothell Booking Releases Lookup
Bothell booking releases come from the Bothell Police Department and the city public records office. Bothell sits in two counties. Most of the city is in King County. A part is in Snohomish County. So jail data on a Bothell arrest may sit with the King County jail or the Snohomish County jail. To search Bothell booking releases you can file a request through the city GovQA portal, look up an inmate on the King County jail roster, or call the Bothell PD records desk. This page lays out each step.
Bothell Overview
City of Bothell Records Process
The City of Bothell uses the GovQA Public Records Center to take in and track all public records requests. The City Clerk's Office runs the program. Each city department has a Records and Information Management Committee member who handles requests for that group. For Bothell booking releases and other police files, the request gets routed to the Bothell Police Department.
Visit the Bothell Records Requests page to start. The page links to the GovQA portal and the city policy. You can submit, track, and pick up your records all in one place. The city replies to each request in five business days under RCW 42.56.
The Bothell records request portal is the main starting point for booking releases.
The page shows the link to GovQA, the policy on exemptions, and how to ask for police records.
Bothell Police Booking Releases
The Bothell Police Department is in charge of all requests for police records. The Public Records Officer transfers any police record request received by other city staff to the police department. A wide range of records are also held in the city's Document Library on the website. The city stores and shares records online when it can.
Records that exist in electronic form are sent to you in native format unless you ask for paper. You can ask for paper copies, but the city charges a small copy fee. The city does not have to create a new electronic record or convert one into a format it is not already kept in. Staff will work with you to find the best way to send the files.
Note: Bothell Municipal Court records are not part of the Public Records Act. Court records are released under Washington State Court General Rules 31 and 31.1. You must ask the court direct.
King County Jail Booking Releases
Most Bothell arrests get booked into the King County Jail. The King County Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention runs the jails. Use the King County jail locator to find an inmate. A live tool at dajd-jms.powerappsportals.us lets you search by name or booking number. The roster shows charges, court dates, and bail info.
The county runs jails in Seattle and in Kent. See the King County adult jails page for details on each site. For older county data, visit the King County records page.
Snohomish County Jail Booking Releases
If a Bothell arrest takes place in the Snohomish County part of the city, the person may be booked into the Snohomish County Jail. The Snohomish County Sheriff runs the jail and posts a public jail register. The register shows who is in custody, the booking date, and the charges. You can also file a public records request with the county for older Snohomish County booking releases.
The county replies in five business days under RCW 42.56. Jail records follow RCW 70.48.100, which limits what the jail can share to a few key items.
State Sources for Bothell Booking Releases
State tools fill in the gaps. The Washington DOC Incarcerated Search shows people held in state prison. The DOC also runs a Wanted for Arrest page with active warrants. Both tools are free.
The Washington State Patrol runs a paid criminal history tool. Use the WSP Criminal History page to order a state level report. Results show convictions across the state. WATCH does not pull pending Bothell booking releases. For pending case info you still need the Bothell PD or the county jail. The free VINELink tool sends you an alert when an inmate is released.
King County Booking Releases
Most of Bothell sits in King County, and the King County Jail holds the live booking data for those arrests. Visit our King County booking releases page for the full county overview and the jail roster.
